About Dr. Gabriel Carabello
Dr. Gabriel Carabello, MD, is a board-certified vascular surgeon with over 30 years of experience treating patients with complex vascular conditions. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, he’s dedicated his life to helping patients manage and overcome conditions like carotid artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysms, peripheral vascular disease, and other related conditions.
His career has taken him through academic medicine, private practice, and high-pressure hospital work in various states nationwide. What hasn’t changed over the decades is his commitment to delivering care that’s both technically precise and grounded in compassion.
Gabriel Carabello, MD, was born and raised in the city of Los Angeles, a city he would later devote most of his professional career to. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Loyola Marymount University in 1985 and then proceeded to the UCLA School of Medicine, graduating with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in 1989.
From 1989 to 1995, he completed his Internship and Residency in General Surgery at King-Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles. He then did a Trauma/Critical Care Fellowship in 1996 and a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at UCLA in 1997.
In 2008, he rounded out his formal training with a Mini Fellowship in Endovascular Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital, affiliated with Columbia and Cornell.
